Overview:
SIA "SINTEC EUROPE" was founded in 2008 and specializes in providing mechanical installation services for various engineering systems and technological equipment for industrial enterprises.

The company's previous office was outdated, and SINTEC EUROPE relocated to a newly constructed building at 68 Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve in Riga. The company decided to update all its outdated equipment and install modern systems in the new office that align with current security trends. The physical space also became significantly larger than at the previous location and now includes administrative offices, production warehouses, training areas, management offices, a video conferencing room, and other facilities. SINTEC EU recognized the need for a future-proof technological platform that integrates video surveillance and access control, where applicable, to enhance health and safety, operational efficiency, and user convenience.

Mission:
SINTEC EU engaged SFERA GROUP, SIA not only to install the network infrastructure but also to develop and deploy a comprehensive security solution. The selected solution had to meet modern standards of architecture, deployment, and scalability.

Solution:
Video surveillance integrated with intercom and access control systems by Hikvision, including network cameras, DS-K2604T network door controllers, and 2nd generation IP Video Intercom System. SFERA GROUP, with extensive experience in implementing integrated HIKVISION solutions, chose to deploy the iVMS-4200 software platform for unified management of cameras and access control. This platform is also integrated with the video intercom system to manage visitor and service access. Additionally, an intrusion and alarm system from DSC was installed. The deployed camera models include both fixed network cameras and PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras.

Results:
The site, including office and warehouse facilities, is equipped with an access control system featuring HIKVISION controllers and biometric readers. This ensures only authorized personnel can access designated zones (via fingerprint or access cards as needed). The network-based access control system enables real-time monitoring of each access point, allowing management to always know the exact number of staff in each production zone. For an added layer of control, surveillance cameras are installed along the perimeter and at every access point. Thanks to the implemented time and attendance system, company management can track and analyze working hours for each employee over any selected period.
